Common questions
- Is grooming stressful for cats?
- It can be, which is why PGH groomers handle cats slowly, one at a time, with a massage while washing and a low-noise dry. Most cats settle within a few minutes. Tell us if your cat is very nervous so we can plan extra time.
- Does my short-haired cat need grooming?
- Less often than a long-haired cat, but a bath, nail trim and ear clean every couple of months helps with shedding, dander and greasy coats, especially in Malaysia's humidity.
- Can you shave my cat?
- Yes, a lion cut or full shave is possible for heavily matted or heat-stressed cats. We will discuss whether a shave or dematting is kinder for your cat.
- What is D-Greaser?
- A degreasing wash for oily coats and stud tail. It is an add-on from RM30 and is usually recommended for Persians and entire males.
